Information upload technology via IR port
Various devices can be used to upload information into LedStreams and LedBadges – mobile phones, palms, notebooks or simply PC-s. The essential is the IR port, the rest - information upload - is not just simple, it is extremely simple!

In case there is no IR-port devices at hand
Information upload via IR into the badge.
- First make sure that there are USB ports on your PC.
- To make it comfortable to upload information directly from working location connect an USB-extension cable to the specific USB-port.
- Connect IR-port to the second USB – slot. Your PC will automatically detect a new device connected. Sometimes you may be asked to install an additional IR-port driver from a CD provided together with the IR-port, but generally there is no need to install additional software.
- After IR-port installation on the desktop panel you will see a sign saying that a new USB- device has been connected.
- Now it takes to create a file. To create a .txt file make a right-button mouse click – create a file and type the necessary information you wish to upload into our gadgets. If you want to set a password or add various effects - there are plenty of them: stop, inversion, blinking, vertical scrolling, disappearance, gradual appearance, change of speed and brightness. Don’t forget to write here as well special commands. After creating the text file don’t forget to save it.
- Now let’s get back to the IR-port and a gadget – LedStream, LedBadge or Led Belt Buckle, where we are about to upload information. Attention! Don’t forget to turn on the gadget - LedStream, LedBadge or Led Belt Buckle – before transmission start. Place IR-Ports of the gadget and PC directly in front of each other. The min. distance between IR-ports is 2 cm, max. – 30 cm. On the desktop panel will appear a sign, showing that the IR-port is in use.
- Sending the information. Mark the text file you created and choose “Send” – “Neighbor PC” from the right mouse button click menu. The information should be sent in some seconds.
- LedStream, LedBadge or Led Belt Buckle will go off for a second and than on the screen we will see the text you created.
Note. This instructions manual was prepared and typed within 58 min., gadget connected within 3 min. data transmission took not more then 5-7 seconds (depending on the gadget).
